About
Stonehurst is a working family farm, home to the Duffin family who have been farming here since Cyril and Florence Duffin took over the farm in 1951. Initially selling milk from the cows and apples from the orchard to local customers. Greg and Marilyn Duffin soon added the farm shop and opened the tearooms and Motor museum in 1991.
The farm is now run by siblings Tom, Emily and John Duffin and their wonderful team of staff, who welcome visitors to the Farm, Farm shop and bakery, Tearooms, Motor Museum and the Michelin starred “John’s House” fine dining restaurant.
We farm over 400 acres on two main sites, Stonehurst farm in Mountsorrel and Woodside farm in Quorn. We have a herd of Aberdeen Angus Cattle, Leicester Longwool and Texel sheep, Tamworth and Gloucester Old Spot pigs. We grow organic wheat to supply our bakery and other crops including the potatoes and veg that we sell in the farm shop. The land that we farm extends from Stonehurst onto the fertile grazing and hay meadows of the Soar Valley, arable land at and around Woodside farm and grazing land at Quorn Park. We are very proud of our commitment to quality, environmental sustainability, animal welfare and customer service.
We hope you, our customers, continue to visit, enjoy your time at the farm and take home some of our wonderful produce.
